Hace poco que se ha creado el grupo Geek & Tech Girls. Es un grupo de personas que defiende la igualdad y est\u00e1n interesados en cuestiones relacionadas con la tecnolog\u00eda, sobre todo con la que hace uso del software libre. El grupo trata de crear un espacio para las chicas interesadas en la tecnolog\u00eda, donde dar voz a ideas y propuestas y poner de manifiesto c\u00f3mo tratan de liberarse de las opresiones que sufren en este campo y en otros muchos.<\/p>\n

Este grupo tiene vida en Telegram, mucha vida. Estos d\u00edas han debatido e informado de diferentes temas, que resumimos brevemente. Si quieres m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n sobre el grupo no te pierdas su blog<\/a><\/strong> y su Twitter<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

  1. Discutiendo sobre igualdad y feminismo<\/strong>. No ha sido realmente una discusi\u00f3n, ya que hay gran consenso en la idea de que ambos son similares; la lucha por la liberaci\u00f3n de la mujer tiene como consecuencia la igualdad. Todo se resume en una imagen que circula en el grupo. \"429707627_42911_4781043526442453963\"<\/a>Comentarios en el grupo al respecto: Ay, me da mucha rabia que haya siempre que puntualizar que esto tambi\u00e9n puede beneficiar a los hombres porque, si no, parece que muchos no se quedan tranquilos. Como si conseguir mejorar nuestra situaci\u00f3n no fuera suficiente.<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Malestar y cr\u00edticas al art\u00edculo de opini\u00f3n de Beigbeder<\/strong>. El art\u00edculo, titulado Ning\u00fan algoritmo lleva bigote<\/em>, \u00a0ha generado malestar tanto en hombres como en mujeres, al dibujar una idea estereotipada, sesgada e ignorante, denigrando a los profesionales que se dedican a la inform\u00e1tica. El art\u00edculo ha sido pol\u00e9mico, en redes sociales y en el grupo no ha pasado desapercibido. \"articulo-789x1024\"<\/a>Algunos comentarios:\u00a0aparte de denigrarnos se ha olvidado de que a las mujeres tambi\u00e9n le interesa la inform\u00e1tica\u00a0<\/em>o\u00a0en nuestras charlas muchas veces hablamos de que los estereotipos tienen gran parte de culpa en que a las ni\u00f1as no les guste la tecnolog\u00eda, pues lo ven para chicos y frikis que se encierran en su cuarto con el ordenador<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  3. \u00a0El art\u00edculo The Real Reason Women Quit Tech (and How to Address It)<\/a>\u00a0habla de las razones por las cuales las mujeres abandonan el mundo de la tecnolog\u00eda. <\/strong>Algunas de las \u00a0m\u00e1s habituales son que sienten que sus ideas no son valoradas, sienten que no pueden acceder a puestos de responsabilidad o no tienen oportunidad de dirigir proyectos importantes. Opiniones destacadas en el grupo de Telegram:\u00a0El problema es que esa explicaci\u00f3n no explica por qu\u00e9 eso ya se ve en las primeras etapas educativas donde las ni\u00f1as y chicas optan menos por las tecnolog\u00edas. Otra cuesti\u00f3n es que esos mismos problemas pasa en otras profesiones. No quiero decir que esos problemas no existan, que existen, sino que debe haber algo m\u00e1s, seguramente cultural.<\/em>\u00a0Quiero destacar uno de los comentarios que representa bastante bien el sentir general en el grupo, en solamente tres palabras:\u00a0es muy frustrante.<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Pr\u00f3ximas convocatorias: El grupo se re\u00fane el viernes 20 de enero para asistir a un taller titulado No es s\u00f3lo texto y enlaces, la web no tiene l\u00edmites<\/strong>, de la mano de Patricia Ju\u00e1rez. Toda la informaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 en Meetup<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
